What Does It Mean To Pray?
Is it a completed set of rules with fancy language and loud voice?
Does it matter what you wear, where you are, or how many words you use?
Prayer is talking with God, who knows everything about you and is passionately concerned about you.
Talking to Him about things in your mind, asking questions, lots of questions about the big and small things in life.
It's about sharing your life with the Almighty God who is jealous for you, Who wants to lift the burdens from your shoulders and share life with you.
Developing an effectual prayer life and consistently reading the Bible enables you to become more intimately acquainted with God. You learn to recognize and understand His nature, and appreciate the value He has placed on you.
Find a quiet, peaceful space, and set aside time, preferably, at the beginning of your day to commune with God. Begin by addressing Him as "Our Father." Acknowledge His Sovereignty asking Him to hollow His Name in your personality, and in all your roles and activities. Ask for HIs will to be done, for His Kingdom to come in all your decisions and encounters. Make your petitions known to Him forgiving others as freely as He has forgiven you. Affirm the Lordship of Jesus and submit to the constant ministry of transformation by the Holy Spirit.
It is God's desire that you know His will for your life. In God's divine providence there is healing for crippled and damagd emotions. He delivered you out of the authority of darkness and translated you into the Kingdom of His Dear Son.
You are more than a conqueror through Him that loves you. Learning to live victoriously is a process that takes time. We have to train our senses to know right from wrong. You will overcome personal fears, fear of failure, of being alone, or of having to prove yourself to others. You can look in the mirror and approve of the "you" God created. He gives you the grace to come out of the snare of the enemy. You will no longer fear the opinions of man.
Prayer prepares you to practice tough love, make godly decisions and necessary changes.
When Jesus came and dwelt among us He revealed Jehovah as a loving Father. As you develop an intimate relationship with Him, you will learn to appreciate and to love yourself, and then, you can receive love and risk loving others.
Prayer is conversation with our heavenly Father. Take time to talk with Him and listen for His quiet, gentle voice. He knows your present circumstances and your future. and has already provided exactly what you need for the day. Collect your thoughts and prepare to take care of the daily activities. May God receive glory and honor as we go about our daily routines. We pray that others will come to know our Father Who is in heaven just because we have been in prayer with Jesus.
Our prayer is that you will find strength, comfort, courage, and fortitude as you pray according to God's Word. Grow in grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, ever learning, ever growing, and ever achieving.
Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word. When you hear yourself pray you will discover that you truly believe. God is a rewarder of those who believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Oh, what manner of love has the Father bestowed upon you that He would call you His Son/Daughter!
You are a child of the Most High God.
He equips you to overcome obstacles and to succeed in every area of your life.
You are God's Masterpiece!
